ONE FRIDAY is resourcing inter-church and community groups to retell the story of the Passion of Jesus in ways that are specific to their location. This poster is the tenth in a series that follow the Stations of the Cross. The Stations of the Cross represent the events that happened to Jesus as he made the journey from his trial to his execution. As you follow the journey you will feel that you are travelling with him. At the execution site, the Roman soldiers quickly nailed three people to three wooden crosses: Jesus in the middle, a convicted thief on either side. Jesus asked his heavenly Father to forgive these people because they had no idea what they were doing. Wording on the poster: Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with Jesus. When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. And the criminals were also crucified— one on his right and one on his left. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Luke 23:32-34
