God with us Stable - Tract (Pack of 50)

It’s great to spend Christmas with family and friends, and while technology allows us to video call those who are far away, it’s no substitute for having them physically with us.

There is something about the immediacy of human contact, and the moment by moment relationship we have with those closest to us, knowing we can talk to and engage with them at any moment, that technology can never replace.
The great message of Christmas is that God hasn’t stayed at a distance in human history, but chose to send his Son Jesus to be born as a baby, and live amongst the human race He created. Born not in a palace fit for a king but a dirty stable in a nowhere town.

It’s an astonishing way for the Creator of the universe to connect with his creation. Another word the Bible uses for Jesus is ‘Immanuel’, which means ‘God with us’. The Christmas story places Jesus on earth, with us, in the midst of ordinary life, becoming one of us.
“All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us').” (Isaiah 7: 14, New Living Translation)
The implications for us and our lives on earth are huge! Jesus offers us a friendship and relationship that changes everything about our past, our present and our future.
