People say God is useless.
So how come so many people’s lives are changed after believing in Him?

What do you think God is like?

Is He just some vague force?
Does He hate to see you having fun?
Is He watching to see when you do things wrong – and then punish you?

We’d find it hard to like that sort of God. But that boring, stuffy person is nothing like the real God.
Yes, there is a real God. In fact He’s so real that He’s there whether you believe in Him or not.
God has had his eye on you ever since you were born.
But not so He can criticise you. This God has plans for you: He wants you to enjoy a relationship with Him.

Does God feel unreal to you?
Do you feel uncomfortable if you think about Him?

This is because there are things in your life which upset God. God won’t share his plans, or his power, if you don’t want to know Him.

We don’t have to be perfect for God to care about us. Everyone has messed things up at some time. No one can make themselves perfect by trying. But God is too great to be stopped by our failures. This is where Jesus comes on the scene.

Jesus shows another view of God.
He shows a God who is interested in people’s problems.

A God who understands; who cares enough to heal illness and remove fear. A God who wants people to be happy.

Jesus was killed by being nailed to a cross. But He came alive again.

This shows that God is greater than anything we can hope for. Because of what Jesus did, you can be put right with God.
God created and looks after the whole universe. That includes your whole life.
