ONE FRIDAY is resourcing inter-church and community groups to retell the story of the Passion of Jesus in ways that are specific to their location.
This poster is the eleventh in a series that follow the Stations of the Cross.
The Stations of the Cross represent the events that happened to Jesus as he made the journey from his trial to his execution. As you follow the journey you will feel that you are travelling with him.

One of the thieves told Jesus in a mocking way to save himself if really was the Messiah — the other thief reminded the first one they deserved to be there but Jesus did not, and then asked Jesus to remember him when he reached his Kingdom. Jesus said that they would both be in Paradise that same day.
Wording on the poster:
One of the criminals hanging beside him scoffed,
“So you’re the Messiah, are you? Prove it by saving
yourself—and us, too, while you’re at it!”
But the other criminal protested, “Don’t you fear
God even when you have been sentenced to die?
We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man
hasn’t done anything wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus,
remember me when you come into your Kingdom.”
And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be
with me in paradise.”
