Inside this tract are the following words:
What gets you out of bed in the morning? Apart from a wide-awake toddler or a dog that needs walking, that is.
For many of us, it's the need to earn a living to pay the bills and provide for our family or ourselves. If we're blessed enough to do work we enjoy and find fulfilling, all the better.
But we all know 21st century life can be tough. Relationships break down, unemployment or ill health strikes, and whether it's trauma out of the blue or 100 petty daily irritations that wear us down, we can feel the life being squeezed out of us.
Easter is the light at the end of the tunnel. And the bearer of that light is Jesus himself.
Cut off from God by our own desire to go our own way, we have struggled to make life work for us. In dying on the cross, Jesus took the consequences of our wrongdoing and selfishness on himself, and in rising from the dead, offers us hope of forgiveness, a fresh start and real hope for the future.
For Christians, each day is a gift from God thanks to the hope we have in Jesus. The events of Easter provide those who follow Jesus with purpose, strength to face life's challenges and confidence that the best is yet to come.
Join us at church this Easter and find out why life and hope begin at the Cross ...
