Inside this tract are the following words:
How often do you find yourself gasping at the heavenly light show we get for free, with our skies as the canvas? It could be that moment at dawn as the sun comes over the horizon, the glorious golds and ambers of a stunning sunset, or further afield the amazing emerald of the Northern Lights.
Then there’s the awesome night sky, with endless silver stars and planets strewn across the velvet darkness. Thanks to powerful technology and learned astronomers, we know much more now about the night sky and mysteries of space.
Imagine then how it must have been for the Wise Men – or Magi, as the Bible calls them – travelling from the East following the star which was to lead them to the town and stable where Jesus was born.
A sight in the heavens that was incredible – but nothing compared to the Christ child they would find on arrival. “We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him” (Matthew 2:2) they said.
When they found him, they were overjoyed, and gave precious gifts in his honour.
We celebrate the birth of Jesus – the light of the world – at Christmas. He brings light into darkness, hope where there is despair and the deep love of God for every human being. Why not join us on our journey with him? You’ll find a warm welcome!
