Reaping What You Sow - Tract (Pack of 50)

The things we sow into our lives have consequences.

If you’re a gardener, you’ll know all about the mysteries of growth in the natural world.

If you want a seed to grow, you need to plant it in the right kind of soil, make sure it gets watered and fed with what it needs, and is nurtured correctly so that it grows into a healthy plant.
And you know that if you plant sunflower seeds, you’re going to grow ... sunflowers. If a farmer plants barley seed, he’s going to grow barley. You reap what you sow – it’s a natural principle woven into our world.
And it’s the same for you and I in the lives that

we lead. The things we ‘sow’ into our lives have consequences.
If we eat junk food and don’t take any exercise, we put on weight and our health is at risk. If we drink too much, or use drugs, not only our health but our relationships and mental wellbeing are in danger.
If we sow evil, negative things – anger, selfishness, lust, envy and greed, the harvest those things will produce in our lives will be plain to see.

In the Bible, God talks about the good things we can expect to see in our lives if we live his way: love, peace, generosity, kindness and patience.
As the Apostle Paul writes in his letter to the Galatian church:
“A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6: 7b-9)
