What are Crop Marks?
To make it clear how much bleed you’ve added, and to streamline the cutting process, it’s common to add crop marks to the corners of your design.
Most desktop publishing software can do this for you. These are small lines that show where the page edges are on a document that includes bleed. See this illustration:
When you export your PDF in your chosen desktop publishing software, you may specify whether to automatically include crop marks in your PDF.
